FAQ
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Pretty much everything! We accept cash, debit cards, all major credit cards, ApplyPay, GooglePay, Cashapp, Venmo, and both Afterpay (0% interest for pay in 4 over 6 weeks, 6-12 month options too!) and Sezzle (0% interest for pay in 4 over 6 weeks, 3-48 month options too!).
Q: Do you do piercings?
A: No, we do not offer piercings or sell jewelry.
Q: Does getting a tattoo hurt?
A: Tattooing comes with a degree of pain, which can be better or worse, depending on where you get them done. As a general rule, if an area is used for feeling the world around you, or protects organs, it will hurt more. So hands, ribs, and feet tend to be the worst. Despite that, the procedures are actually quite bearable, and even our younger clients have sat to get ribs done with little to no complaint. A close approximation that many of our clients agree on is the feeling of scratching a sunburn.
Q: Will you tattoo minors?
A: We do perform tattoos on minors on a very limited basis. You can find more information by visiting our Minor Consent page on this site.
Q: What if I have allergies to latex?
A: We keep non-latex products around to ensure we do not aggravate any allergies by using them. You should disclose any allergies on your consent form prior to your appointment.
Q: How much does a tattoo cost?
A: That depends on a number of factors. Artists typically have rates that are close to each other in our studios, but different types of work are more involved and require more training to accomplish, which increases price. With the proper information given (size, style, placement, etc), our artists will be able to give estimates for the piece you are wanting. These are only quotes, but our experience in the field ensures they are usually very close to the actual time.
Another consideration to take into account, is the minimum amount a tattoo may cost. The first hour at our studio is the most expensive, with all other hours being at a lower rate, so make sure to talk to the administrator at your location if you are interested in a shop minimum tattoo. Don’t forget to ask about day rates for your artist if you are starting a large piece, flat day rate offer a savings off of their normal hourly.
Q: What activities should I avoid after getting a new tattoo?
A: A tattoo is an open wound, and should be treated as such. It is important to avoid bodies of water that may contain bacteria, touching the tattoo or piercing with hands that haven’t been washed prior, or exposing a fresh tattoo to the sun. Additionally, we do not recommend shaving a healing tattoo, or following aftercare instructions that your friend gave you. You should instead have your artist give you thorough aftercare instructions to avoid any issues and pick up an aftercare sheet before you leave the studio.
Q: Do I have to put down a deposit?
A: We do require a deposit for all appointments. Deposits are non-refundable, so you need to be sure you want to be tattooed before booking your appointment. You can find details on our House Rules page.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
A: A good place to start is our House Rules page, and the Our Process page. Prior to your appointment, be careful not to sunburn the area where you will be placing a tattoo. Eat a full meal and be fully hydrated when arriving for your appointment. And don’t forget to bring your ID!
Q: Can I bring my children to the studio?
A: We are a family friendly company, with much of our staff being parents themselves, so we are used to having children around. The only two major things to remember, is that any children will need to be very well behaved to avoid offending other guests paying for their work, and that any tattoo studio is going to tend to have some adult language. While we control this better than most, you should be comfortable with your children being old enough to be exposed to mature language.
Q: Do you offer permanent makeup?
A: We do not offer permanent makeup services.
